Honestly, I thought this was going to be way more complicated. But once we laid everything out, it actually made sense really fast. The brackets lined up perfectly and the frame squared itself up easily. Took us an afternoon, no special tools, and no contractor. If you’re even a little handy, you’ll be fine.
We put a lot of work into this deck, so rusty brackets staining the wood were the last thing we wanted. The rust resistance was a big reason we chose these. It’s a feature worth looking for when the hardware will be outside year-round.
We used these brackets to start a pergola over our little backyard patio. The frame already makes the space feel more put together, and there’s still room for our chairs and the kids’ toys. Looking forward to adding some shade and getting more use out of this area.
